This highly noxious weed is extremely destructive and is capable of breaking apart concrete and tarmac. It is also capable of spreading over an area the size of a tennis court in one season.

Japanese Knotweed RemovalThe effective eradication of Japanese Knotweed requires professional assistance. Acorn Environmental Management Group usually charge by the square metre for this service. It is therefore far more cost-effective to start your eradication programme sooner rather than later.

Acorn have developed a number of successful and cost-effective removal programmes that comply with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 which are proven to be effective against the spread of Japanese Knotweed.

Enviroscreen 20-20

Japanese Knotweed RemovalAEMG are a licensed and approved Enviroscreen 20-20 contractor. Enviroscreen 20 - 20 is a patented methodology of mechanical screening of Japanese knotweed. It is a system that has been developed and is now widely regarded and an accepted and pragmatic way to manage and eradicate Japanese knotweed.

The system sees material which contains Japanese knotweed rhizomes processed through a mechanical soil separation unit and then manually picked to further remove knotweed. Upon completion only the Japanese knotweed material (Typically <1%) is removed from site with the three sized processed material being re-engineered into the site.
